What are Requisitions?

Requisitions are internal hiring requests. When a department manager or team lead needs to hire, they submit a requisition — a structured request that includes the role details, priority, and expected start date. HR can then review and convert approved requisitions into actual job postings. This creates a clear approval workflow between department managers and the recruiting team.

Creating a Requisition

Navigate to Requisitions in the sidebar and click New Requisition.
Job Title (required): The position you need to fill.Department (required): The team this role belongs to (Engineering, Marketing, Sales, etc.).Employment Type (required): Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Freelance, Internship, or Temporary.Workplace Type (required): On-site, Remote, or Hybrid.
Location: City, country, or “Remote” — where the role is based.
Priority (required): Low, Medium, or High — helps recruiters triage open requisitions.Target Start Date: When you need the hire in place. Use the date picker to select a date.
Job Description: Provide context for the recruiter — responsibilities, required skills, why the role exists. This becomes the starting point for the actual job posting.

Who can create Requisitions?

All workspace roles can view and create requisitions, including Department Managers. This makes requisitions the primary way department managers participate in hiring without needing full access to the recruiting pipeline.
Department managers see the Requisitions page in their navigation but do not have access to the full Jobs, Talents, or Analytics pages.

Best Practices

Set realistic target dates. A target start date that accounts for notice periods and sourcing time helps recruiters plan their workload.
Use the description field. The more context you give in the requisition, the faster the recruiter can create an accurate job posting.
Use priority levels consistently. Define what “High” means for your team (e.g., business-critical, backfill for departure) so recruiters can prioritize effectively.
