Sourcing lets you describe the candidate you want in plain English and get back a ranked list of real people with verified contact info, pulled from LinkedIn and other public professional sources. No boolean strings, no scraping, no spreadsheets.
Each search consumes Sourcing credits from your workspace plan.

How sourcing works

1. Describe

Type the role, skills, location, and seniority you need.

2. Search

Hirempire AI scans professional networks and returns matching profiles.

3. Review

Browse candidates with photos, headlines, contact info, and AI summaries.
1

Open the Sourcing page

Go to Sourcing from your dashboard sidebar.
2

Describe who you're looking for

Use the prompt box and write a natural description. Be specific about the things that matter to you.Example prompts:
  • Senior React developer with fintech experience in London
  • Product designer who has shipped B2B SaaS, based in Berlin or remote EU
  • Sales engineer with API and developer-tools background in the US
3

Press Enter or click Search

The search typically takes 30 to 90 seconds while Hirempire scans profiles, pulls contact data, and generates AI summaries.
4

Review results

Candidates appear as cards with name, headline, location, LinkedIn and GitHub links, email, phone, and a short AI fit summary.
Press Enter to search. Use Shift + Enter to add a new line inside your prompt.

Understanding the results

Each candidate card includes:
FieldWhat it shows
PhotoProfile picture from LinkedIn or GitHub
Name and headlineCurrent role and short pitch
LocationCity or region
LinkedInDirect link to the LinkedIn profile
GitHubDirect link when the candidate has a public GitHub
EmailVerified work or personal email when available
PhonePhone number when available
AI summaryOne-line fit signal generated for your prompt
Contact details (email, phone) are best-effort. Some profiles return a LinkedIn link only, especially for senior or privacy-conscious candidates.

Selecting and acting on candidates

  • Click the checkbox on any card to select it. A counter appears at the top right showing how many candidates you have selected.
  • Click the email, LinkedIn, GitHub, or phone icons on a card to open or copy that contact channel directly.
  • Click Clear to deselect everything and start again.

Search history

The left sidebar lists your workspace’s previous searches with the original prompt and how long ago it ran.
  • Click any past search to reopen its results without spending credits again.
  • Click New Search at the top of the sidebar to start a fresh prompt.
  • Collapse the sidebar with the arrow icon to give yourself more room on wider result grids.
Past searches are shared at the workspace level, so teammates can see and reuse each other’s sourcing work.

Connecting LinkedIn (optional)

Sourcing itself runs against Hirempire’s own data and does not require a LinkedIn login. You can still connect a LinkedIn account in Settings > LinkedIn if you want to:
  • Post jobs to LinkedIn from inside Hirempire
  • Send connection requests or InMail from connected accounts in future workflows
Connecting LinkedIn is only available on paid plans, not on Free or during a free trial. Each user connects their own LinkedIn account.
To connect:
1

Open settings

2

Click Connect LinkedIn

Accept the consent panel to authorize Hirempire to act on your behalf.
3

Pick a posting company

Once connected, select the LinkedIn Company Page you want to post jobs as.

Writing better prompts

Vague prompts like developer in Europe produce vague results. Try Senior Go developer with payments or fintech experience, based in Western Europe instead.
Use words like junior, senior, staff, lead, head of, or specific years of experience.
Context like B2B SaaS, marketplaces, consumer mobile, or regulated healthcare sharpens the matches considerably.
Say remote OK, must be in CET timezone, or list specific cities. The AI uses location as a hard filter.

Tips

  • Use one prompt per role. Avoid trying to source two different jobs in one search.
  • If results feel off, refine the prompt and run a second search rather than scrolling endlessly.
  • Save high-signal candidates to your Candidates Bank so you can search and reuse them later.
  • For passive sourcing while browsing LinkedIn yourself, use the Chrome Extension instead.
  • Candidates Bank - Store and search sourced candidates over time
  • Chrome Extension - Capture and evaluate candidates while browsing LinkedIn manually
  • Candidates - Manage candidates already in your pipeline
