# Personal Settings

> Update your name, avatar, and account preferences

## Accessing personal settings

Go to **Settings** in the sidebar. The **Personal Info** section is the first tab and is accessible to all roles including Department Managers.

## Profile information

| Field         | Description                                                                           |
| ------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Full name** | Your display name shown to teammates in Chat, Tasks, and throughout the app           |
| **Email**     | Your login email address                                                              |
| **Avatar**    | Your profile photo — shown in chat messages, the DM list, and channel member previews |

## Updating your avatar

Click the avatar area to upload a new photo. Supported formats: JPG, PNG, WebP. The image is cropped to a circle automatically.

To remove your current avatar, click **Remove photo**. Your initials will be shown as a colored circle instead.

## Changing your name

Update your full name and click **Save**. The change is reflected immediately across Chat, Tasks, and other collaborative features.

  Use your real name so teammates can recognize you in chat and task assignments.
